Lesson
n° 6: Right Hand - Positioning 2 fingers
First thing to notice: - the wrist slightly bent towards the outside, thanks to the elbow slightly upwards; |
- Notice the bent wrist (not too much, or it'll result in tendon damage); - Thumb tip plucking the high part of the first string; - The thumb and the forefinger form a perpendicular angle; - Forefinger tip plucking the other string, rather backwards; - The other fingers are "coiled up" inside the hand. |
Two major faults here: - the angle between the thumb and the forefinger is wrong; - the thumb is "klunky", bent on the string; it should just lean on it gently. |

Here, all fingers
look klunky and are tense, causing useless fatigue.
This is the correct
way of positioning fingers on the string: the fingers don't look "klunky",
they just lean on the strings; notice the others fingers "coiled
up" inside the hand.
